What on earth do you do with all your crystals ?

This is a question I get asked daily, and there are truly so many ways that you can incorporate crystals into your everyday life. 

These colourful gems are infused with thousands—sometimes millions—of years of the Earth's history, granting them a healing energy that can help boost any mindful practice.

But just like with any diet or exercise routine, a crystal practice that works for one person won't necessarily work for the next. Thankfully, there are countless ways to work with these amazing stones every day. Here just a few of my favourites: 

Hold the crystals during meditation: 

One of the simplest ways to connect with crystals is through meditation.  I like to start my practice by holding my crystal in one or both hands and as I close my eyes I focus on my breath.  Then scan your body and release any tension throughout the body and begin your practice.   Sometimes certain crystals don't resonate, and other times they make the hairs on your skin stand up. Each crystal will feel different, so be patient and keep experimenting.


Crystals for healing

Crystal healing is a type of alternative therapy that involves using gemstones to bring balance to an individual's life and mind and it's my absolute favourite.  The benefits of crystals predominantly surround areas of mental wellbeing; including feelings of increased tranquility, positivity and focus, as well as enhanced immunity and pain relief.  Crystal healing can be used to treat a range of issues, from migraines to anxiety and stress, to menstrual pains and blood pressure.  In my case it helped me overcome my near death experience five years ago.  


Carry them in your bag when you are on the go

This is something I always do !  If you look inside my bag you will always find my lip gloss, water bottle, mobile phone and a range of crystals !  Carrying a crystal with you can help you throughout the day, because let’s face it, we all lead busy lives and are all on the go these days! Make sure you set your intention for your crystal before popping it in your bag.


Wear crystals

An outfit is not complete without a crystal! Not only are they a beautiful accent to any wardrobe, but crystal jewellery is an easy and efficient way to carry your crystals around with you.  I always wear a layer of crystal bracelets and they help keep me protected so I can focus on what truly makes me happy throughout the day. 


Enhance your yoga practice

Crystals and yoga have a natural cosmic connection, as both are known to generate calm, relieve stress and encourage spiritual awakening.   I always like to keep crystals on my yoga mat to help create a tranquil space during my practice.  You can even place crystals on your body during savasana to encourage a deeper state of meditation.


Incorporate Crystals in your Self-care Routine

Next time you run yourself a hot bath, place a few crystals in the tub to supercharge your bathwater.  Think of it as an elixir for your whole body. Be sure to check that your crystal is water friendly - some crystals such as selenite, pyrite and moonstone cannot get wet as they will be damaged. Rose Quartz and Clear Quartz are my go to for bath crystals as they help enhance self-love and encourage self- care.


Bring Positive Energy to your Home Decor

If nothing else, crystals make a beautiful addition to your home and their vast array of colours, shapes and form, mean they can complement any colour scheme. They can either be styled as one luxurious accent piece or a collection of small stones or a bit of both. The opportunities are only as endless as your imagination.
